Emilio Lonardo's design, created for Arjowiggins, is a celebration of colours. The exhibition features coloured sheets of paper hanging from the ceiling, arranged in gradients and specially designed combinations. This unique setup identifies three main areas: 'Paper Tradition', 'Paper Innovation', and 'Paper Revolution'. Each area offers a different interactive experience, from exploring the history of the brand to discussing commercial issues and experiencing an interactive installation designed in collaboration with Monogrid.
The exhibition was realized using tensioned wires to fix the sheets of paper to the ceiling. Black-painted wooden elements with a paper mosaic coverage were used to display products made with Arjowiggins papers. The space, usually a 300sqm photographic atelier, was transformed into a vibrant, interactive exhibition that engages the senses and sparks the imagination.
Lonardo's design team, which included Vittoria Cheli, Elisa Fallani, Elena Montosi, Elena Sofia Nascimbeni, and Laura Vergori, worked together to bring this vision to life. The digital installation was created by Monogrid, and the realization was done by MakersHub. The lounge area was set up by Curioni.
The 'Colours' exhibition was held at the Studio Fotografico Gianni Rizzotti in Milan, Italy, over a period of three days. It was a testament to Lonardo's innovative design approach and his ability to create engaging, immersive experiences. The exhibition was not just a showcase of products but also a celebration of the brand's history and its commitment to innovation.
Emilio Lonardo's "Colours" was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. Lonardo's design, admired for its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, introduced positive feelings, amazement, and wonder, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence.
